The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) selection process is primarily based on a multi-stage process: a Written Examination (Objective Type), Document Verification, and Final Merit Ranking
1. Written Examination
The written exam assesses both General Studies and technical engineering knowledge. The test comprises two objective-type papers:
Paper I (150 Marks): General Studies and General Abilities (common to all candidates).
Paper II (300 Marks): Concerned Engineering Subject (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical, depending on the notified vacancy).
Total Marks: 450 Mark
Examination Mode: The exam is conducted either via OMR-based offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT)
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks
Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum qualifying percentage in the written exam to be eligible for further evaluation:
OC / EWS / Sports Persons: 40%
Backward Classes (BC): 35%
SC / ST / PwD: 30%
3. Document Verification
Candidates who qualify the written exam in order of merit are shortlisted and called for certificate verification. You will be required to produce original copies of educational certificates, date of birth proof, community/caste certificates, and local residency proofs to claim reservations.
4. Final Selection
Following document verification, the commission publishes the final merit list and selection list. The final ranking is determined purely based on the marks secured in the written examination
