Selection Process: | IBPS RRB 2026 Selection Process Office Assistant (Multipurpose): The IBPS RRB Office Assistant (Multipurpose) selection process consists of a two-stage online examination followed by document verification and a language proficiency check, with no interview round. Stages of Selection Process. 1. Preliminary Examination: An online screening test comprising objective questions from Reasoning Ability and Numerical Ability (80 total questions for 80 marks) with a duration of 45 minutes. Marks obtained here only qualify you for the next stage and do not count toward the final merit list. 2, Main Examination: An online exam featuring 200 questions for 200 marks covering Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude. Final merit and provisional allotment are decided solely based on your scores in this Main Examination. 3. No Interview: There is no interview round for the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) post. 4. Language Proficiency Test (LPT) & Document Verification: Candidates provisionally listed must prove proficiency in the official local language of the specific State/UT they applied for. Those who studied the local language up to the 10th standard are generally exempted from a separate LPT test, pending final document verification by the regional bank. Single Online Examination Candidates applying for Officer Scale II (Generalist - GB0, and Specialists like IT, Law, CA, Treasury, Agricultural, and Marketing) must appear for one comprehensive online test. The exam evaluates professional knowledge, reasoning, quantitative aptitude, financial awareness, English/Hindi language, and computer knowledge depending on the specific post. Qualifying marks must be secured in each section as per IBPS norms to get shortlisted for the next stage. 2. Common Interview Candidates who clear the single online exam cut-off are called for a face-to-face interview.
