Candidates who clear the mains exam are then assessed on their local language proficiency. The final selection is based on the marks obtained in the mains exam. 1. Preliminary Examination: This is an online objective test designed to assess basic aptitude. It typically includes sections on English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks for the preliminary exam are 100. The duration of the test is one hour. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam are not counted for the final selection. 2. Main Examination: This is also an online objective test, evaluating candidates on a broader range of subjects. It usually includes sections on General/Financial Awareness, General English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total marks for the main exam are 200. The duration of the test is 2 hours and 40 minutes. The marks obtained in the main exam are crucial for final selection. 3. Local Language Proficiency Test: Candidates who qualify for the mains exam are required to undergo a language proficiency test. This test assesses their ability to read, write, and speak the local language of the state they applied from. This test is qualifying in nature.
