SBI Clerk Syllabus



The syllabus for SBI Junior Associate (Clerk) exam is as follows:

 

The SBI Junior Associate (Clerk) exam includes a Preliminary Examination (100 marks, 1 hour), a Main Examination (200 marks, 2 hours 40 minutes), and a local Language Proficiency Test. The tests cover English, Numerical/Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Computer Aptitude, and General/Financial Awareness. 


Preliminary Exam Syllabus:

English Language: Reading comprehension, cloze test, error detection, sentence rearrangement, and vocabulary. 

Numerical Ability: Simplification and approximation, number series, quadratic equations, data interpretation, and basic arithmetic (percentages, profit/loss, time/work).

Reasoning Ability: Puzzles and seating arrangements, inequalities, syllogisms, direction sense, blood relations, and alphanumeric series.



Main Exam Syllabus:

General / Financial Awareness: Current affairs (national and international), static GK, banking terms, RBI functions, and government schemes.

General English: Advanced reading comprehension, sentence improvement, para jumbles, and fill in the blanks. 

Quantitative Aptitude: Advanced data interpretation (caselets, missing DI), data sufficiency, and high-level arithmetic word problems. 

Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: Critical reasoning, input-output, complex puzzles, alongside computer basics (hardware, software, networking, and internet).
