RRB Junior Engineer (JE) Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) Exam Pattern
The RRB Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) exam has two stages: Computer-Based Test 1 (CBT 1) and CBT 2, followed by a Document Verification and Medical Examination. CBT 1 is a 90-minute screening test with 100 objective-type questions covering general science, mathematics, general intelligence/reasoning, and general awareness. CBT 2 is a 120-minute main test with 150 objective-type questions, including a technical subject paper, and is followed by a document verification and medical exam. All CBTs have a negative marking scheme of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.

Stage 2: CBT 2 (Main Stage)

Subjects: Includes General Awareness, General Science, Basics of Environment and Computer Applications, and a technical subject paper specific to the candidate's engineering discipline.
Technical Abilities (Branch-specific): 100 questions (100 marks)
General Awareness: 15 questions (15 marks)
Physics and Chemistry: 15 questions (15 marks)
Basics of Computer and Applications: 10 questions (10 marks)
Basics of Environment and Pollution Control: 10 questions (10 marks)

Marking Scheme and Selection Process
Negative Marking: 1/3 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer in both CBTs.
Selection Process: Candidates are shortlisted for the next stage after clearing CBT 1 and then selected based on CBT 2, followed by a Document Verification and Medical Examination.
