Selection Process: | SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Selection Process 2026: The SSC JE selection process consists of two Computer-Based Tests (Paper-I and Paper-II), followed by Document Verification and final post allocation. Selection Stages. Paper-I (Computer-Based Test): An objective multiple-choice exam worth 200 marks that is qualifying in nature. It has a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Normalized marks shortlist candidates for Paper-II. Paper-II (Computer-Based Test): A subject-specific technical exam worth 300 marks. It has a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Final merit is determined using normalized marks from this paper. Physical Standards (BRO only): Candidates applying for Border Roads Organisation (BRO) posts must clear required physical and medical standards. Document Verification (DV): Original documents and eligibility credentials are authenticated before final appointment. Final Allocation: Posts and departments (like CPWD, MES, and BRO) are assigned based on merit-cum-preference and a sliding mechanism. | |
