Selection Process: | The Selection Process for Railway Paramedical Staff Recruitment 2026 will be completed on the following phases – 1. CBT Exam 2. Document Verification 3. Medical Examination. 4. Final Selection List. The selection process for RRB Paramedical Staff (CEN 05/2026) consists of three consecutive stages: a Single-Stage Computer-Based Test (CBT), Document Verification (DV), and a Medical Examination (ME). There is no separate interview round. 1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) The written examination is a national-level online test featuring objective multiple-choice questions. Total Questions: 100 questions Total Marks: 100 marks (1 mark per correct answer) Exam Duration: 90 minutes (120 minutes for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities using a scribe) Negative Marking: 1/3rd of a mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. Subject Breakdown:Professional Ability: 70 questions / 70 marks General Awareness: 10 questions / 10 marks General Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning: 10 questions / 10 marks General Science: 10 questions / 10 marks Minimum Qualifying Marks: Unreserved (UR) – 40%, OBC/EWS – 30%, SC/ST – 25%. 2. Document Verification (DV) Candidates who score above the cut-off in the CBT are shortlisted for document verification. You must present valid original credentials, including: Educational and professional qualification certificates/mark sheets Proof of date of birth (Birth certificate or 10th pass certificate) Caste/Community certificate (if claiming reservation) Photo ID proof and other prescribed testimonials. 3. Medical Examination (ME) The final stage ensures candidates meet the required medical fitness standards prescribed for specific paramedical disciplines (such as Nursing Superintendent, Pharmacist, or Lab Assistant) in Indian Railways. Candidates clearing this round are recommended for final appointment. | |
