UPSC EPFO Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC)Vacancy & Eligibility Details:
Total Posts: 80 vacancies
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university
Age Limit: UR / EWS: 35 years, OBC: 38 years, SC / ST: 40 years, PwBD: 45 years
Fee Details: Amount: ₹25 (Twenty-five rupees only).
Payment Modes: Visa, MasterCard, RuPay Credit/Debit card, UPI, or net banking of any bank.
Fee Exemptions: Exempted Candidates: Female, SC, ST, and Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates do not have to pay any fee.
Recruitment Test (RT): Objective pen-and-paper test carrying 300 marks
Interview: Carry 100 marks for shortlisted candidates
Final Weightage: Ratio of 75:25 for the written test and interview scores
The UPSC EPFO Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) exam consists of two successive stages: a pen-and-paper Recruitment Test (RT) and an Interview. Candidates can check the official notifications on the Union Public Service Commission portal
Stage 1: Recruitment Test (RT)
Mode: Offline (Pen and paper, OMR-based)
Total Questions: 120 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options each
Total Marks: 300 marks
Duration: 2 hours (120 minutes) with no sectional timing
Language: Bilingual (English and Hindi, except for the English language section)
Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2.5 marks.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the total marks assigned to a question (0.83 marks) is deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions carry no penalty.
Stage 2: Interview / Personality Test
Conducting Body: Held at the Union Public Service Commission (Dholpur House, New Delhi)
Total Marks: 100 marks
Qualifying Standards: Category-wise minimum qualifying marks apply (General: 50, OBC: 45, SC/ST/PH: 40).
Final Selection & Weightage
Merit Calculation: The final merit list is prepared using a 75:25 ratio for the Recruitment Test and the Interview, respectively.
Total Final Score: Out of 400 marks (300 from the written RT + 100 from the interview)

3. Developmental Issues and Present Trends in Indian Economy
4. Governance and Constitution of India
5. General Science and Basic Knowledge of Computer Applications
6. Elementary Mathematics, Statistics and General Mental Ability
7. Industrial Relations, Labour Codes and Social Security in India
8. Principles of Accountancy, Auditing and Insurance
9. Current Events of National and International Importance
UPSC EPFO Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) Exam Centres:
The Recruitment Test will be conducted at 84 centres across India. Important centres include Hyderabad, Hanumakonda (Warangal Urban), Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, Ananthapuramu, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and several other cities.
Applicants should note that some centres have a ceiling on the number of candidates and allotment is on a first-apply-first-allot basis. Therefore, candidates are advised to apply early if they want a preferred examination centre.
