Applications are invited online from eligible applicants through the proforma Application be made available on the Commission’s website (https://www.tgpsc.gov.in) for the post of Assistant Director in Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) Department in Telangana.
The Department of Directorate of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) is mainly involved in the task of preparing Master plans and their enforcement and in extending technical assistance to various Government Departments/Local Bodies for the orderly development of cities, towns and villages.
Functions of DTCP, Telangana: Preparation of General Town Planning Schemes (Master Plans) in case of ULBs/ UDAs. Preparation of Indicative Land Use Plans ILUPs in case of Mandal HQs & Potential villages. Technical clearance to Layouts/ Buildings proposals received through TS-Bpass and e panchyat. Technical Clearance of Industrial Building proposals received through TS-i PASS. Preparation and approval of type designs for various buildings i.e Integrated Markets (Veg. & Non-Veg.), Municipal Offices, Community Halls, Night Shelters, Shopping Complexes & Graveyards, Parks & Playgrounds etc. Technical Approval of Road Development Plans(RDPs) / Junction Development Plans. Technical Assistance to ULBs/UDAs in implementing State and Central Government Scheme such as AMRUT, Smart Cities, LAP, TPS & Township Policy & Cool roofing policy etc.

TGPSC Assistant Director Selection Process: | The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TGPSC) Assistant Director selection process is primarily based on a multi-stage process: a Written Examination (Objective Type), Document Verification, and Final Merit Ranking 1. Written Examination The written exam assesses both General Studies and technical engineering knowledge. The test comprises two objective-type papers: Paper I (150 Marks): General Studies and General Abilities (common to all candidates). Paper II (150 Marks): Subject concerned (Common Syllabus) PG Level Total Marks: 300 Marks Examination Mode: The exam is conducted either via OMR-based offline mode or Computer Based Recruitment Test (CBRT)
2. Minimum Qualifying Marks Candidates must secure the prescribed minimum qualifying percentage in the written exam to be eligible for further evaluation: OC / EWS / Sports Persons: 40% Backward Classes (BC): 35% SC / ST / PwD: 30%
3. Document Verification Candidates who qualify the written exam in order of merit are shortlisted and called for certificate verification. You will be required to produce original copies of educational certificates, date of birth proof, community/caste certificates, and local residency proofs to claim reservations.
