Selection Process: | The AIIMS CRE selection process consists of a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a Skill Test (if required for the specific post), and culminates in document verification. Candidates must qualify the CBT to be eligible for the next stage. The final selection is based on the combined performance in the CBT and the Skill Test, and successful document verification. Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT) Format: The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and is typically 90 minutes long. Scoring: Each correct answer is awarded 4 marks, and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer. Syllabus: The questions are divided into general aptitude/general knowledge/computer knowledge and domain-specific knowledge relevant to the post. Qualifying Marks: Minimum qualifying marks are set for each category, such as 40% for UR/EWS, 35% for OBC, and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD. Stage 2: Skill Test (If Applicable) Requirement: This stage is only for posts that require specific practical or hands-on skills. Nature: The skill test is qualifying in nature. Stage 3: Document Verification Purpose: Candidates' original documents are verified to confirm their eligibility. Stage 4: Final Merit List and Institute Allocation Basis: A final merit list is prepared based on the candidates' performance in the CBT and Skill Test (if applicable). Allocation: Candidates are then allocated to institutes based on their rank in the merit list.
