Government of Telangana State, School Education Department has published a notification to conducting Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET-2026) for the recruitment of Teachers for Classes I to VIII in Schools of Telangana State. Those Candidates who are interested in the vacancy details & completed all eligibility criteria can read the Notification & Apply Online.
Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for appearing for the Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TGTET-June-2026) to be conducted Online as Computer Based Test (CBT) by Department of School Education, Government of Telangana between 15.06.2026 and 30.06.2026.

Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TG TET-2026) Qualification: | ||
For TG-TET Paper-I (Classes I to V): | (i) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education). (OR) (ii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 45% marks. In respect of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of guidelines dt. 23-12-2015. | |
For TG-TET Paper-II (Classes VI to VIII):
| (i) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). (OR) (ii) B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ST/BC/Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of guidelines dt. 23-12-2015. (OR) (iii) 4-year B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. (OR) (iv) Graduation with language concerned as one of the optional subjects OR Bachelor of oriental language (or its equivalent) OR Graduation in literature OR Post Graduation in language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate / B.Ed with language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers. (OR) (v) B.E/B.Tech with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% and Pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or B.Ed. (Special Education). | |
Examination Centers (Districts) for TGTET-June-2026 | ||
TGTET-June-2026 shall be conducted Online as Computer Based Test between 15.06.2026 and 30.06.2026. Candidates can submit order of preference of the examination centers (district) shown in the online application. However, Convenor, TGTET-June-2026 has the discretion to allot candidates to the examination districts depending on the capacity of any particular district. | ||
Validity period of TGTET Certificate / Marks Memo: | ||
The validity period of TGTET qualifying certificates for appointment, unless otherwise notified by the Government of Telangana, would remain valid for life. | ||
Pass Criteria in TGTET: | ||
The criteria for considering pass in TGTET is as follows: General/ EWS: 60% and above BC: 50% and above SC/ST: 40% and above | ||
Weightage for TGTET Scores in Teacher Recruitment Test: | ||
TET score shall have 20% weightage in Teacher Recruitment Test in the State of Telangana. | ||

For Single Paper (i.e. only Paper I or only Paper II): Rs. 750/- For both Paper I and II: Rs. 1000/- Payment Mode: Through Online | ||
