Telangana ECET Eligibility Criteria:	Qualification: Candidates must have a Diploma in Engineering, Technology (or) Diploma in Pharmacy, (or) B.Sc. (Mathematics) degree with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved categories). Domicile: Applicants should belong to the state of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
Telangana ECET Exam Pattern:	The Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TG ECET) 2026 is a 3-hour computer-based test (CBT) consisting of 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer earns 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam pattern varies based on the candidate's stream: 1. Engineering Stream (for Diploma Holders) This stream is for lateral entry into B.E. or B.Tech courses. The paper is divided into four sections: Mathematics: 50 marks (common to all branches). Physics: 25 marks (common to all branches). Chemistry: 25 marks (common to all branches). Engineering Branch: 100 marks (specific to your chosen discipline, e.g., Civil, CSE, EEE, Mechanical). 2. Pharmacy Stream (for Diploma in Pharmacy) The paper focuses on pharmaceutical sciences across four equally weighted sections: Pharmaceutics: 50 marks. Pharmaceutical Chemistry: 50 marks. Pharmacognosy: 50 marks. Pharmacology and Toxicology: 50 marks. 3. B.Sc. (Mathematics) Stream Graduates with a B.Sc. in Mathematics are tested on mathematical and analytical skills: Mathematics: 100 marks. Analytical Ability: 50 marks. Communicative English: 50 marks. Key Highlights Medium of Exam: English only. Total Duration: 180 minutes (3 hours). Total Marks: 200 marks. Qualifying Marks: A minimum of 25% (50 marks out of 200) is required to obtain a rank, except for SC/ST candidates who have no minimum qualifying mark.
