RRB NTPC Undergraduate Selection
Process
The RRB NTPC undergraduate selection process involves a two-stage
Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by a Skill Test for specific posts, and
concludes with Document Verification and a Medical Examination. The two
CBT stages assess general awareness, mathematics, and general intelligence
and reasoning.
Stage 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) This is a qualifying stage. It consists of 100 questions with a time limit of 90 minutes. There is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect answer. Subjects include General Awareness, Mathematics, and General
Intelligence and Reasoning. Stage 2: Computer-Based Test (CBT 2) This stage is more detailed and tougher than CBT 1. It has 120 questions, with a time limit of 90 minutes. Like CBT 1, there is a negative marking of 1/3 for each incorrect
answer. The subjects are the same: General Awareness, Mathematics, and General
Intelligence and Reasoning. Stage 3: Skill Test/Computer-Based Aptitude
Test (CBAT) This stage is only applicable for specific posts. For example, a Typing Skill Test is conducted for posts like Junior
Account Assistant Cum Typist and Senior Clerk Cum Typist. A Computer-Based Aptitude Test is conducted for posts like
Station Master and Traffic Assistant. Stage 4: Document Verification and Medical
Examination Candidates who clear the previous stages are called for this final
stage. Document verification checks the eligibility criteria and other
application details. The medical examination ensures candidates meet the physical standards
required for the posts. |
