Indian Coast Guard Navik & Yantrik Selection Process: Stage 1:
Computer-Based Test (CBT) The initial stage of the
Indian Coast Guard Navik GD selection process is a Computer-Based Test (CBT),
conducted for 110 marks. This test is designed to evaluate the candidate’s
General Aptitude and Technical Knowledge, serving as a preliminary filter to
shortlist capable individuals for the next stages. Stage 2:
Adaptability Test, Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification, and Medical
Examination In Stage 2, candidates
participate in an OMR-based Adaptability Test to assess their suitability for
the role. The results for this test are announced within an hour. Qualified
candidates then undergo the Physical Fitness Test (PFT), where their fitness is
measured through tasks like a 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20
squat-ups (Uthak Baithak), and 10 push-ups. Those clearing the PFT proceed to
the Document Verification (DV) phase, followed by the Recruitment Medical
Examination to ensure they meet the required medical standards. Stage 3: Document
Verification and Final Medical Examination The final stage involves
thorough verification of candidates' documents to determine their provisional
pass or fail status. Candidates marked as ‘Pass’ are then required to appear
for the Final Medical Examination conducted at INS Chilika, where their overall
fitness and eligibility are confirmed before final selection. |
