About
The Program: |
The SBIF Asha
Scholarship Program for Overseas Education 2024-25, one of India's largest
scholarship programs, is an initiative of the SBI Foundation under
its education vertical - Integrated Learning Mission (ILM). This program
aims to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low-income
families across India, ensuring the continuity of their education. This
scholarship is open to SC/ST students pursuing a master’s or above course
(any year) at a premier university/college outside India. Selected students
can receive a scholarship of up to INR 20 lakh for a year to
support their educational endeavours. About SBI Foundation SBI Foundation is
the CSR arm of the State Bank of India. Upholding its tradition of
service beyond banking, the Foundation operates in over 28 States and Union
Territories of India, focusing on Rural Development, Healthcare, Education,
Livelihood & Entrepreneurship, Youth Empowerment, Promotion of Sports,
and more. The Foundation is dedicated to contributing to the socio-economic
development and betterment of underprivileged sections of society, reflecting
the ethos of the SBI group by running ethical interventions that promote

Eligibility: |
1. Applicants must be Indian nationals. 2. Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled
Tribe (ST) categories. 3. Applicants must be pursuing a master’s or above course (any year)
at a premier university or college outside India OR should have
received an acceptance/offer letter from universities outside India. 4. Students must have secured 75% marks or above in their previous
academic year. 5. Students with a gross annual family income of up to INR 6,00,000
are eligible to apply. Note: 1. Premier universities/ colleges outside of India will include those
listed at the top in reputed world rankings such as the QS World University
Rankings, Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2. Preference will be given to students with a family income of up to
INR 3,00,000 per annum. 3. 100% of the slots for overseas education will be reserved for SC/ST scholars. |
